Jane MacLean lives and works in London, where she has spent most of her life. She studied fine art at what was then the Central School of Art – now known as Central St. Martins. For many years she specialised in portraiture and her work can be found in many private collections, but since this decade her paintings – which almost always incorporate the human form – have explored the emotions in all their depths.
